Brooklyn's stomach was churning as she stood beside Gabe, still looking down. Her legs were shaking. "I-I think I'm gonna be sick," she said, trembling all over.

"Please don't throw up," Tellie pleaded with her, setting her water bottle down on the counter. "That'll make me throw up in return."

"Oh jeez.." Kayla pulled the emergency cold towel out of the freezer and handed to it to Gabe to give to Brooklyn. "Don't throw up! Cause if you do Tellie will and then I will and Gabe'll get stuck taking care of us!"

"Maybe you're just overreacting, Brookly," Gabe said. "You probably just imagined hearing something."
"No..." Brooklyn said. "He said that he'll be back tonight..." she shivered "I dunno why but I could...hear his thoughts...crazy as it sounds. One thing's for sure though, I refuse to stay here alone." She looked at Gabe and grinned. "You're staying with me."
Gabe shrugged. "No complaints here," he said, leaning down and kissing her forehead.

Tellie rolled her eyes as she heard the conversation, but smiled. She was glad that Brooklyn had found someone who cared so much for her.

"Why don't we go get a bite to eat?" Gabe asked. "That should get your mind off of things."
"Okay." She smiled at him. "Do you want us to bring food home for you two?" she asked, turning to Tellie and Kayla.

"Okay," Brooklyn said, brightly. "I'm gonna go take a shower." She headed off toward the bathroom.
Gabe sat on the couch and stared at the tv, hoping that Max wouldn't jump up there and start staring at him again.
