Cailin walked up a little higher on the roof and sat down, looking up at the stars. She grinned at Max. "I've never done this before." she said, laughing a little. "It just seemed fun."

Max laughed,gripping the drain pipes.he had a little problem with heights, "So ya chose now ta do it?" he said jokingly, crawling up beside her and sitting down.

Cailin smirked. "Yep." she said, snuggling closer to him and laying her head on his chest.

"Yeah, I've noticed that too." Blink said, getting in his car and fastening his seat belt. "What ya think it is?" He started up and drove off, heading toward the bar he and Race used to go to together all the time.

"Okay," Blink said, pulling up to the bar. He could see Race through the glass door. "I found him, I'll talk to him for ya. See ya BJ." he said, hanging up the phone. He went inside and pulled up a seat beside Race. "Higgins, we need ta talk."

"Hold on" Race said,and pulled the salt off the table behind and threw it in the pot, "Dere!" he said.

Max pulled the box around and popped it open, "Would you marry me?" he asked,looking into her blue eyes with his own.

Cailin's mouth dropped open for a split second before she attacked Max in a hug and knocked him over, kissing him. "Yes!"

She closed her eyes and leaned against his chest, more than content with where she was at in life right now and how much her life had changed since she'd moved to New York.

It'd take too much money ta re-build in da foist place!" he sighed,and started thinking, "Maybe I could buy one'a dose older builldings down da road, start a casino, start at da bottom again and build back up."

Race just glared at Blink,taking another sip of the beer he'd drug with him. He'd gotten sick of waiting on job opportunities,he'd applied at everywhere he could,even the bar he was in, resorting to stupid little card games like the one Blink had just drug him away from. He was also still mad about Sheepshead burning,that had been his main profit buyer. "Even if I did buy onea dose buildings I'd go inta debt up ta my elbows."

Max stared up at the dark night sky,wondering what he had done to deserve someone like Cailin, he wasn't anyone special or anything ,he was just him, hell he'd spent half of his life in therapy because of that motorcycle wreck years back. He looked down at Cailin asleep and messed with her hair,smiling softly.

Blink sighed, he hadn't wanted to have to say this, but it was necessary. "Race...ya look terrible...ya gotta get ya life picked up somehow. You just can't go on this way."
