Max glared at anyone who looked at him, he could feel tremors going through his body from not taking a hit in awhile, when they got to the coaches office he threw himself onto the sofa in there, it reeked of athletics in here.
Vernon stood beside the desk, "Destroying school property, fighting on campus, COMING TO SCHOOL HIGH! I'm talking to you Mr. Conlon!" he glared daggers at Max, "I know what it looks like! Don't give me that look!" he was just getting started, "I should report both of you to the authorities!" he pulled kleenex out of the box on the desk and handed a couple to Spot for his nose, then handed some to Max for his lip, he inhaled, not quite sure what to say, he'd dealt with these two fighting others or each other since Max and Spot had came up here from middle school,
"Max you've already maxed out your detentions! Spot you...oh your on your way.." the hell name's their kid Spot anyway? Vernon thought to himself. He sighed, "Okay, you," he pointed at Max, "Clean the hell up, if I catch you back up here as high as you are now I'll suspend your ass for the rest of the year, no wait..I'll expel you!" he turned to Spot, "And you, either sort this out or spend the rest of school in alternative school ran by the boot camp reject."
Max sniffed, "Whatever..." he said, "Can I go now?" the tremors were getting unbearable, he needed to get out of this room as soon as possible.
"Considering we have a major gas leak now YES!" Vernon said sarcastically, "Gotta deal with the damn flaming poision control now..." he left the room as a guy in a HASVAT suit appeared at the door.

Spot wiped his nose with the tissue then got up to walk out of the room, seething. "Go ahead...I'm sure Bender's waitin' for ya." Spot said, then walked out. He knew who Bender was from the last time Max had been this addicted.

Max stormed out of the school before he attacked Spot again. Before going he finished up what he had left of his stash behind the school to ease the tremors, dumping the remnants into a garbage can. He wandered down the sidewalks, he ended up close to Bender's haunts, and the bad side of town. He didn't care how vulnerable he was here, he just needed to find a place to camp for the night, he wasn't returning home tonight, not in the slightest. He also sure as heck wasn't going to burden Pyro with his being strung out. Max found an abandoned building, it looked like it used to be apartments. He looked around and ducked under the boarded up doors, the tremors were already starting back up again, it'd been about two hours since he'd finished the drugs up at school. He peered in, seeing a number of homless people, he needed somewhere secluded to work off this bender, he was slightly intent on trying to get clean, if not for himself then for Spot...and the memory of Helena. He settled into a old apartment, leaning against the window and watching the traffic go by, the room looked like squatters had been in it, old blankets carpeted the floors, a few plastic chairs seated around a garbage can that had once been lit with a fire was over in a corner. Movement in a corner caught Max's eye who stared, "da hell..." it was too big to be a rat...

Kiyoni was dodging the law in an alleyway, his back to the wall as two cop cars drove by. He was wearing a long black jacket and a fedora to match. He smirked to himself as the two cars passed the aleyway and lit up a cigarette, standing there for a moment and taking a long drag, then he got the feeling of being watched. Looking around, he finally caught sight of Max and recognition flashed across his features, seconds later giving way to a cynical smile. He raised his eyebrows and pulled a white sheet of paper out of his pocket that was folded in half and said 'Max' in big letters on the front in Helena's handwriting. Shrugging tauntingly at Max, he pocketed the letter and walked off, turning a corner and disappearing from sight, his jacket tailing behind him. Some serial killers had a habit of stealing something from each of their victims and he had this letter as well as a ring Max had given her for her birthday that she always wore in his pocket.
Since school was let out early, Blonide came out to her car to find Spot already there, laening on the hood and looking pissed. She didn't even ask what happened because she had heard the story from several different people. "You okay?" she asked.
Spot nodded and got into the car. They went back to Blondie's house after Spot had finally blown off some steam. Spot wasn't going home because he didn't want to be around Max in his state. It was like he was the only one in the house between Max and Damon being out of their right mind most of the time. Sneaking in again because of Blondie's dad, they went to her room, locking the door again.

Max recognized Kiyoni instantly, regardless of the coat and hat, he raced down and out the rickety old fire escape on the old building, taking off after him, "KIYONI!" he yelled, increasing his speed, he dodged garbage cans and other debris that was between him and the other guy, "GET BACK HEAH!" he yelled, he knew that was a stupid thing to say, they never turned to stop when you yelled that. He caught up enough that he could see the back of the coat, he stopped, out of breath and out of shape, then continued his persuit, Kiyoni now further away.

Kiyoni laughed as he made his escape, going off to who knows where.
Spot was still tense from the fight. He walked into the bathroom connected to Blondie's bedroom and splashed some cold water on his face, then walked back into the room and sat down on the bed. Blondie massaged his shoulders, trying to get him to calm down.

Max stood there heaving from running, looking around madly for where he'd gone, he yelled, kicking the garbage can closest to him across the alleyway. He stood there, everything from the day catching up on him. He wandered back up the alleyway, bypassing the old apartment buildings and heading towards an old hotel down the way he knew about, he had barely any money left, and paused, eyeing Bender's alleyway uphead. He already owed the drug dealer money, he didn't need to blow this on more drugs, that he'd have to make payments on, and get more in debt. He turned into the motel instead, paying the man for one night and passing out in the room once he got in there, the high crashing and his body giving in to exhaustion.

After Blondie took Spot home, he waited until she had gone and walked the distance to the tree house he and Max had been to earlier that day, where he had already decided he was going to sleep that night. He didn't tell Blondie because she would insist that he either go home or at least stay with her and he didn't want to go home or be a bum at her house because he didn't know exactly how long he would stay away from home. When he got to the treehouse finally, it was late. Spot climbed up onto the roof of the treehouse like he had earlier, lying on his back this time and staring up at the stars until he fell asleep.
~~Next Day~~
The school had gotten the gas leak taken care of and was open back up for classes. Spot woke up at the butt crack of dawn and was about to walk the distance back to the house so he could take a shower and maybe cook him some breakfast. He didn't know if Max would be there or not, but if he was, Spot would just avoid him. It would only take a short time to do what he needed to anyway and then he'd be gone. When he got to the house, he snuck in the front door and went straight to the bathroom, grabbing some clothes on the way. Part of him was relieved that Max wasn't there, but the other, bigger part of him that still worried was bothered by his absence. He hoped Max wasn't lying in a ditch or alleyway somewhere too high to function or worse. Spot finished getting ready and grabbed something small to eat then went outside and sat on thre front steps to wait for Blondie, who got there a short moment later. He got in the car and they headed off to school.
Cailin pulled up in front of the school for her first day, nervous and angry that she had to change school and move away from any friends she had (that weren't too terrified to talk to her because of her father's profession), because his boss had needed him in a different location. She had been the "new kid" a few times before and she hated it. The new faces all around her, the staring, the feeling of estrangement from the world around her. Her father had been excited about the move because it got her far away from that boyfriend that he hated, though Cailin and the boy had decided to try the long-distance thing. It wasn't too far away after all, just a few hours. She and her father had been unpacking for about four days and she had missed a few days of the school week because of it, but she didn't really care. What irritated her the most was the fact that her friend Jess from her old school had told her two nights after she left that her boyfriend had cheated on her just as soon as she was gone. She had called him and ended that relationship as soon as she found out. That kind of stress was the last thing she needed at a time like this. Cailin's father was the second in command to the leader of the Irish mafia and she knew it. He was open about it since she had confronted him about the people at school being afraid of him. Her mother had left them long ago when Cailin was just two years old to "pursue a more adventurous life" as her dad put it, his thick Irish accent showing. She had lived in America for all of her life so she didn't have much of an accent, but her parents had only just moved over from Ireland while her mother was in the early stages of pregnancy with her. With no siblings and a mother that she had never even met or heard from since she left, Cailin was close to her dad, who was the type to intimidate any guy who came over trying to date his little girl. Rolling her shining blue eyes at that last thought, she got out of her car and walked up to the front doors of the school, braving the new place. She knew she'd be stuck there for a while at least.

Max woke up, he felt like hell, and smelled like cheap hotel, REALLY bad sleep-off-a-bender-or-screw-a-hooker hotel. He moaned, rolling off the bed and into the floor that smelled of cheap cologne and something that smelled like vomit. He pushed up, rubbing his head and yawning, everything hurt, and he felt like he'd drank eighteen things of espresso because he was shaking so badly. He went into the bathroom, it wasn't any better than the room I paid seventy bucks for this? he thought, turning the tap on and at least cleaning his face and hands. He looked in the grimy mirror, the black circles had faded slightly because he'd actually slept, but he still looked like someone had beat the hell out of him, the bruise had swollen under his eye and the cut on his lip was trying to heal itself, his eyes were blood shot from the corners all the way to the blue of his iris. He blinked, made the cheap coffee in the room and left. He made it to school right as the tardy bell rang and slipped into his first class, people staring at him as he walked in, he just sat down and proceeded to attempt to sleep more, holding his arms to get them to be still so he didn't feel like the world was shaking. He looked around, stopping on the unfamilar girl in the front, she was pretty, but the nagging voice kept reminding him of Helena. He stared at the new girl for almost thirty til he fell asleep, and started snoring, inciting annoying hints dropped from the teacher at him.

Cailin had had a hard time finding her first class, but she had made it there on time so that was a start. When the bell rang and the door opened, she looked up to see the boy who had barely made it there before class started and blinked, wondering about his swollen face, but then quickly looked away, not wanting to be caught staring at someone the first day. Still, she could feel someone's eyes on her from the back of the room and she couldn't help but hope that they were his. A lot of the people here made her nervous by staring at her all morning and one guy had even tried hitting on her before following her into the class room (which made her uncomfortable), but something about the boy that had just walked in aroused her curiousity.

The teacher sighed, fed up with Max always coming in here and going to sleep, "MR. CONLON!" she yelled, making Max hit the roof, "If you insist on spending your time in here asleep I will send you to the office!" she yelled, Max just stared at her, still slightly asleep, which only made her angrier. "Outside Mr. Conlon! Meet me outside!" she wrote a few more words on the board, slammed the piece of chalk down and followed Max outside.
The yelling back and forth could be heard inside the classroom, the teacher yelling about how she knew one more slip up would be the final straw for Max, and that she thought he needed to be focusing more on school and less on his 'extracuricular activities" referring to the drugs and other things he'd been on lately. She told him one more time and she'd let Vernon deal with him, Max stood there staring at her, part-way trying to block her out by staring at the dots on the ceiling tiles, her yelling only made his headache worse. The bell finally rang while they were still out there. Max shoved off the wall and left her standing there red faced.
Race came out of cooking class covered in flour, him and Blink had succedded in attempting to mimick the gas explosion in the lab with baking, even though they were supposed to be making a cake, "Caro Me..." he muttered stumbling a bit, they'd made the stove blow up, and spent the latter half of the class getting lectured on kitchen safety.
Jack had been in the class with Max, he'd watched it all go down, part of him wondered if it was because Helena died and that was why Max had gone downhill, he hadn't even gotten into it with the older Conlon in awhile. He didn't have time to worry about it, he had gym next period and had to be out on the football fields.
(I missed Race and Blink's cooking class shinanigans XD and I missed JOCK!Jack as well, so I added them in there to keep them alive.)

(( haha okay ))
Cailin felt sorry for the boy the teacher had called 'Mr. Conlon'. It seemed like he just couldn't catch a break... Hearing the bell, she gathered her things and walked out into the hallway, avoiding the boy who had been hitting on her earlier. Now to find her second period class.
Blink's hair was standing up a bit from the explosion and he was covered in flour, too. "We gotta do dat again..." he said to Race, his eyes wide like a kid who's just seen a giant ice cream sunday.

Race nodded as the Home Ec teacher stormed out of the class room and drug them to the office, making them sit down in front of Vernon's desk, "THEY DID IT AGAIN!" she ranted, pulling at her grey hair, small tufts of it came out with each pull, "I CAN'T DEAL WITH IT ANYMORE RICHARD I CAN'T! THEY BLEW UP ONE OF THE STOVES!...A STOVE?!...I mean how...how...how do they..I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" she started sobbing uncontrollably.
Race started laughing, "I tink she finally had a mental breakdown...." he said to Blink behind his hand.
Vernon rubbed his temples, blocking out the teacher, he looked at Race and Blink, "The stove? Really?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, "How...you know what? I just...just don't tell me, if I give you a detention and a slight warning will you get her the hell out of my office? And to a ...mental ward..or state prision...something.." he wandered out of his office, leaving the home ec teacher standing there exasperated.
Max disappeared into an empty classroom, intent on sleeping through second period. He did this all the time regardless, but he had to do something to get rid of this hungover feeling. He paused as the new girl walked by, watching her go, he leaned out the door, his eyes moving to her butt for a second, then he shook his head and disappeared back into the classroom, the door slamming shut rather loudly.

Blink laughed as Vernon left the office then looked at the home ec teacher. "Just think, now ya got one less appliance ta catch on fire. We did you a favor."
Cailin heard the door slam and jumped, the noise echoing through the nearly empty hallway. She turned around and looked puzzled, then just shook her head and continued looking for her next class.
~~Afternoon~~
After school, Cailin drove home to find the house empty, figuring her dad was out on 'business'. She put her school stuff in her room and grabbed some money out of her purse for groceries. They had bought some stuff when they first moved in, but had already run out after nearly a week. Their new house was a nice one in a subdivision, but it was pretty close to the rough side of town, which was where her dad was now working. The only store Cailin knew about was the one a couple of blocks from the house. She made a small list of some things to get to make spaghetti, deciding to walk to the store to get some fresh air and stretch her legs a little since she had been cooped up in either cars or the house all week. Pocketing her house key and the small can of pepper spray her dad had insisted she keep with her at all times, she walked out the door. About a block away from her house, Cailin heard a noise that sounded like a lighter clicking in an alleyway behind her. She looked around, startled, but didn't see anyone or anything for quite some distance. The noise sounded again and her hand closed around the pepper spray in her pocket. Out of the shadows, she saw a small flame flicker and then a puff of smoke as a guy in a black jacket stepped out into the light. Don't painc...she told herself, trying to stay calm.
Kiyoni smirked at the girl standing before him, taking a step closer to her. "What's a pretty little girl like you doing on this side of town?" he asked, exhaling smoke as he talked and advancing on her.
"You'd better leave me alone..." Cailin said, her face and voice unflinching.
"Now why would I do something like that?" Kiyoni asked, a crazy glint in his eye, he reached out his hand closing around her arm and pulled her further into the alleyway.
"Get LOST you jerk!" Cailin said angrily, jerking away from his grasp and pulling the pepper spray out, quickly sending a shot into his eyes. Thanks Dad... she thought, turning and running the opposite direction.
Kiyoni yelled with pain and irritation as his eyes burned, but he fought to see, running after Cailin and grabbing her by both arms, throwing away the pepper spray and flinging her around and back into the alleyway.
Cailin hit the concrete ground with a hard thud, Kiyoni towering over her with mad rage in his eyes.

"Dat stove had seen bettah days though.." Race said, smiling at her, which she twitched and just muttered something about the nurses office and a couch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Max had started back to the hotel, still not in the mood for Spot, he was irritated, having withdrawls, hungover, and not one to be messed with at the moment. He figured since he still had the hotel key he could sneak back in and stay another night. He heard shouting in an alleyway and the sound of pepper spray go off, he turned his head and saw someone fighting with a struggling girl. He took off, tackling the guy from the side and sliding both of them into trash cans, when he saw it was Kiyoni it just made him feel better, he punched him across the jaw, kicking him over and letting loose with his steel toed combat boots into Kiyoni's stomach,
"WHAT YA GOIN' AFTAH ANOTHER ONE?! LIKE YA DID HER HUH?! HUH?!" his voice went into a raither rough, and angry yell, hitting harder, he pulled Kiyoni up, slamming a loose garbage can lid into his head repeatedly, using the withdrawls to his advantage and all the pent up anger.
