Kayla stared at Chris then saw Brooklyn,she ran over,hugging her, "Did you know you have half da world lookin' fah you?" she asked, "Ya boyfriend called in hysterics!I nearly got killed by some wacko in a car!"

Brooklyn hugged her back tightly and silently. She was still somewhat wet, but she didn't care. "I almost died..." she whispered, "I really almost died." She said this as though she still souldn't believe it herself.

"This is Chris..." she said getting up and putting a hand on his shoulder. "He saved my life...Chris this is my roommate Kayla."
"Nice ta meetcha," Chris said, extending his hand for her to shake.

Kayla eyed Chris again,something about him seemed surreal,she turned back to Brooklyn, "Well,lets get you home and into dry clothes." she said,still eyeing Chris.

Brooklyn nodded and got up, following Kayla to the door. "Thank you...for everything..." she said, hugging Chris slightly then stepping out the door.

Kayla didn't say anything until they got in the car, "Was he not a bit...weird,to you?" she asked, "He seemed,unnatural."

"Yeah...I still don't understand how he saved me..." she proceeded to tell Kayla the story and how fast Chris had reacted. "But I gotta be grateful...if he hadn't jumped in, I'd be roadkill right now," she finished.
