Cailin's eyes grew wide and she started panicking. She was now deathly afraid to have this kid. She wasn't very good with pain like that.
Spot rolled his eyes at Max. "Yeah, yeah...laugh it up..."

Max noticed Cailin, "Ya gunna be okay, Blondie is just...well...evil during pregnancies,she tried ta take Spot out wit da I.V needle one time." he said,hugging Cailin and trying to make her feel better.

"Okay..." Cailin said, still a little unsure about it.
"It's true, I promise..." Spot said. His nose had stopped bleeding and he was about to toss the handkerchief in the trash can, then thought better of it. "Might need dis again..."

Max kissed her, "I promise," he said, "If ya get too bad I'll tell ya," he laughed,hugging her close again.

"Okay," she said, kissing him back. "But if I hit you, make them give me a tranquilizer."
Spot got up and went back into the delivery room. The nurses were still rushing about, but Blondie had calmed down a bit...well, sort of. Her contractions were getting worse as the time went on. Spot went over to the nurse. "How much more dilated is she?" he asked.
"Seven centimeters, it's almost time." the nurse replied. Blondie was calling for Spot so he went back over to her. "There you are, where'd you go?" she asked him.
"To stop da bleedin' in my nose..." he said, cautious as he approached her.

Cailin kissed Max. "Okay, good."
~Thirty minutes later~
"It's a girl." The nurse said softly. The tiny little baby girl was in her arms. They went and cleaned her up and then brought her to Blondie, setting her gently in her arms. The baby looked up at Blondie, cooing slightly.
Spot went out to Max and Cailin. "You can come see her now." he said, then headed back into the room.

"Girl." Spot told him.
Blondie lifted the baby up into Spot's arms, smiling.
Spot held her gently, looking down at her. She looked up at him, and made a gurgling noise that sounded like a giggle. He and Blondie had already decided on a name. "Natalie Lynn Conlon."
Cailin peeked at the baby from behind Max's shoulder.

Natalie gripped onto Spot's shirt with one hand and stuck the thumb on her other hand in her mouth, yawning. "Wanna hold her, Max?" Spot asked him. "You gotta get some practice in sometime."

Max took the baby and looked at it,he smiled at her, "Hey kid," he said,laughing, "I guess I'm ya uncle Max huh?"

Max wasn't sure how to react to that either,he just grinned at her. It had been so long since he'd held a kid....at least since her.
